Sam has been playing guitar from the moment he was big enough to hold one.

From a young age he has been writing and performing.


In 2005 Sam won the ‘National young jazz/blues guitarist of the year’ award at Frankston international guitar festival. Since then he has worked and performed with some of the best musicians in the country. Artists such as: Diesel, Peter Cupples, Michael Fix, Danny Mayers (Lead singer of ‘The Delltones’), Bruce Mathiske, Louie Shelton.


In 2009 Sam graduated from Griffith University with a ‘Bachelor of Popular Music’. In 2010 Sam co-wrote an instrumental piece entitled ‘Optimystical’ with renowned Australian guitarist Michael Fix. In 2011 ‘Optimystical’ was a top 5 finalist in the Tamworth Golden Guitar awards. Sam and Michael recorded a duet version of ‘Optimystical’ for Michael’s duet album ‘Two Timing’.

In 2013 Sam was also the opening act for 'Diesel' on the Sunshine Coast. 

In early 2014 Sam made the finals of Lee Ritenour's 'Six String Theory' guitar competitions. It's one of the biggest guitar competitions in the world with thousands of entries from 48 different countries. Sam was the only Australian to make the finals.
 

In early 2015 Sam was awarded a scholarship to attend the 'Australian Academy of Country Music' in Tamworth.

 

In 2017 Sam recorded his debut album which was released early 2018. 

 

Sam is currently living in the beautiful Sunshine Coast Hinterland where he runs a home recording studio and performs live shows regularly.
